The Society of Women Engineers (SWE), founded in 1950, is a U.S. not-for-profit educational and service organization.  SWE is the driving force that establishes engineering as a highly desirable career aspiration for women.

SWE empowers women to succeed and advance in those aspirations and be recognized for their life-changing contributions and achievements as engineers and leaders.

SWE is comprised of 40,000 members from all engineering and technology disciplines. This makes SWE a premier not-for-profit organization respected among the engineering community.

SWE now has a global footprint with introduction of Affiliate Groups in important geographies outside North America. In Pune, SWE is committed to bring together women in engineering and technology for the purpose of exchanging information about engineering developments and challenges across disciplines and countries.
