SWE Pune Affiliate is delighted to announce that Whirlpool has initiated a collaborative relationship with SWE Pune Affiliate and Global SWE as members.
To kick-off this journey, an introductory event was conducted on 14th March, 2023 at Whirlpool’s office in International Tech Park, Kharadi, Pune.
Whirlpool GTEC leaders met SWE Pune Affiliate members.
President Garima Yadav gave an overview of SWE’s objectives. Aishwarya Dubey, Sheetal Kenjale , Ophelia Fernandes and Farina Kidwai touched upon the initiatives in their areas of Professional Outreach, Youth Outreach, Corporate & Marketing Communications.
Amit Sood (Sr Manager, Global Business Solutions) and Priti Madurwar (Engineering Manager – GTEC EES ) from Whirlpool have already taken the first step by connecting with the affiliate. Ashwini Shingote (GIS Leader GTEC) & Harshada Thombare (Engineering Manager GTEC) will lead the involvement of their organization with us.
Positive feedback has already been received from the women in Whirlpool and they have expressed their interest to join our initiatives immediately.
Whirlpool’s commitment to advancing women in STEM is truly remarkable, and we are excited to have them on board.
